Hi! My name is Sophie. I am a high school student in Connecticut. I love the outdoors! Whether going to the beach, going on a walk with friends, exploring a new vacation spot with my family, or playing tennis-- being outdoors brings a smile to my face.
But after having multiple close family members affected by skin cancer, I have learned that the sun must be respected and that too much can be dangerous. So, I created this website and blog to raise awareness of the dangers of too much sun and promote sun safety. I aim to educate kids in particular because I understand that the earlier the sun protection starts, the less likely individuals are to face issues in the future.
I am super excited to share information on a topic so important to me!
